Short version: we only collect what you choose to send us, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime.

Who is responsible

Spirit of Dare is an independent music project run from Sweden. Contact for anything about your data: [email protected].

What we collect and why

• Email (Get notified). Only if you sign up and tick the box. We use it to tell you when new Spirit of Dare music comes out, one or two emails a month at most. Legal basis: your consent.
• Dared stories. What you write, and your name or handle if you add one. Shown on the site only after we approve it. Used in videos only if you ticked that box. Legal basis: your consent.
• Video links. The link and handle you send. Shown only after we approve it.
• Votes. When you vote, your browser stores a random id so you vote once per browser. It does not identify you.
• Spam protection. We store a scrambled (hashed) version of your network address with what you send, to stop floods of fake sign-ups. It can't be turned back into your address. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working.

No tracking cookies

We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Visitor statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. Fonts are served from our own site, not from Google.

Who helps us

The site and its database run on Cloudflare. If we send emails through an email service, that service handles your email address on our behalf and only for sending our emails. We never sell or share your data for marketing.

How long we keep it

Your email until you unsubscribe. Stories and links until you ask us to remove them, or we take them down.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, anytime. Reply "stop" to any of our emails, or write to [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
